An interview with Lu, member of p*o*s*t – a polymorphic art project from Berlin – by illustrator Giulio Iurissevich.

I met Lu during the Bright expo in Berlin in January and told me about the p*o*s*t, a polymorphic art project from Berlin that includes performances, street art, photography, and I had a chat with him:

What is your logo? What is that P*o*s*t and what are the origins of the name?

p*o*s*t is a collective of artists who come from different places and have different characteristics each, who decided to combine their energies with the intention of creating something new, fresh.
In this way we lose our identity and we feel better.
Finally we are a drop of the same sea isn’t it? This is the origin of the logo of our crew, a drop, cause we feel part of the same sea…
… but sometimes we believe we are alone and unique.
But this is a self condemnation.
We feel good when we let go and leave the box of our ego.
This is p*o*s*t.
Sometimes we only sediment and collect experiences and knowledges for ourself only and then we are no more able to dream.
When we let ourselves go, we are really ourselves.
And together we feel better.

But what does it means the name p*o*s*t?

It is formed by initials of the members who created the original crew.

Why sometimes it has written “wir sind berlin”?

Why we live here and we met here .We are each from different places and the crew is formed by both men and women.
We are in Berlin, in the world, in the universe. We are present
Behind the drop there ‘art at 360 degrees, from street art to photography to performance.

Who are the artists? can you tell me?

We’re each from different places, even if sometimes we are not playing officially as artists we think we are all originals, with our own passions and attitudes, behind this drop, there s no 1. We are part of the same creative energy and this energy is called p*o*s*t.

Seems something mystical and subversive, isn’t it?

If being yourself is subversive, we probably are that, we are not afraid of who we are and we try to express it, we are trying not to identify with the common thought and just trying to be ourselves together.
We are what we are.
The strength of post is the energy of its members, as the force of the sea formed by the drops that form it.
