Spring Summer 2012 collection by Alpana and Neeraj.
‘The quest to defy norms leads to a limitless state of mind where rules do not apply anymore and everything is possible.
A whimsical world where paper like abstractions cocoon the body in perfect symmetry… where transparency is no longer wispy but structures itself around the body like glass blown into its shape and left to solidify…
Where playfully moulded gilets create optical illusions over a bed of soft pastels and reflective sheen with lofty heights add a profoundness to the collection.
Where old clichés melt away… taking the garments into a zone unexplored… but where one zip is all it takes… all the drama and no fuss.
Where bandage dresses dare to appear again… but as bandages… where fabric plays with skin to create its own forms…
Where garments look like they have been crafted in a laboratory… where eveving glamour is stripped of all shimmer…
This season is about communicating a statement… what is fashion without a little whim…?’
