Morfae recognizes the importance of protecting the privacy of all information provided by users of our web site and recipients of our e-mail newsletter. We are absolutely committed to keeping your private information private. We created this policy with a fundamental respect for our users’ right to privacy.

For certain selected services such as free newsletter subscriptions, users must first register. As no data transmissions over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us and you do so at your own risk.

During the subscription process, our forms may require you to provide contact and profile information. We use customer contact, profile and site use information to tailor your experience at our site and to send you communications about our company and our partners. You may choose to opt-out of receiving this information. We may share profile and site use information with advertisers. We do not sell this data to third parties. Letters to the editor and similar submissions may be made public. Other than as set forth above, we do not share personally identifiable information with other companies.

We may also disclose personally identifiable information to third parties when required by law or is pertinent to judicial or government investigations or proceedings, or otherwise necessary to protect the Site or the safety of its users. Other than as set forth above, we do not at present intend to use your personal information for other purposes. However, in the future we may disclose personal information you have provided to third parties for additional purposes and in the event we do, we will provide notices of such use to our users.

We use third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit our Web site. These companies may use aggregated information (not including your name, address, email address or telephone number) about your visits to this and other Web sites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you. If you would like more information about this practice and to know your choices about not having this information used by these companies, please see: http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp

Recipients of our newsletter can unsubscribe using the instructions listed at the end of the e-mail newsletter.

Polling:

We may offer interactive polls to users so they can easily share their opinions with other users and see what our audience thinks about important issues. Opinions or other responses to polls are aggregated and are not identifiable to any particular user. Morfae may use a system to “tag” users after they have voted, so they can vote only once on a particular question. This tag is not correlated with information about individual users.

‘E-mail this to a friend’ policy:

Our site users can choose to electronically forward a link, page, or documents to someone else by clicking “e-mail this to a friend”. The user must provide their email address, as well as that of the recipient. This information is used only in the case of transmission errors and, of course, to let the recipient know who sent the email. The information is not used for any other purpose.

Links:

Our site contains links to other sites and information provided by third-party suppliers. These third party suppliers are solely responsible for the accuracy of their data and their sites have separate data collection and privacy policies which you should review before providing information on these other sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these other sites.

Data storage:

Company and personal data submitted to Morfae is processed and stored in the United States and our corporate offices in Greece.

Automatic Collection of Data:

All networks connected to the Internet communicate in ‘IP’ (Internet Protocol), which is a technical standard that allows data to be transmitted between two devices. ‘TCP/IP’ (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) is responsible for making sure messages get from one host to another and that the messages are understood. An IP address is a string of code which identifies your personal computer and tells the Internet that you are connected. The Website does not automatically store or capture personal data except for logging your IP address. This information is not retained after you have logged off. We do not link information automatically logged in this way by any means with personal data about specific individuals.

Cookies:

Cookies are messages given to an Internet browser by an Internet server. The browser then stores the message. Each time the browser requests a page from the server, this message is sent back. A cookie’s main objective is to identify users and personalise their visit by customising web pages for them, for example by welcoming them by name next time they visit the same website. We may use cookies for collecting information on the Website. If you are concerned about the storage and use of cookies, you may be able to direct your internet browser to notify you and seek approval whenever a cookie is being sent to your hard drive. You may also delete a cookie manually from your hard drive through your internet browser or other programs. Please note, however, that some parts of our Website will not function properly or be available to you if you refuse to accept a cookie or choose to disable the acceptance of cookies.

WHEN YOU ACCESS OUR WEBSITE, YOU AGREE TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY, OR TO ANY CHANGES WE MAY SUBSEQUENTLY MAKE, IMMEDIATELY STOP ACCESSING OUR WEBSITE

Our Website may link to or contain links to other third party websites that we do not control or maintain, such as in connection with purchasing products referenced on our Website and banner advertisements. We are not responsible for the privacy practices employed by any third party website. We encourage you to note when you leave our Website and to read the privacy statements of all third party websites before submitting any personally identifiable information.
