The garden room is incorporated into the interior as a landscape surrounding the tenant’s living space.

An organic spatial structure, not divided by any doors or windows, where nature is the most critical part and the human body becomes part of the architecture.

The architect’s intention was to embrace various functions in one open living area, but on different levels, always balancing their functional particularities.

The street expanded into the main hall of the building creating an open plan office space with a forest- like ambience, leaves and shadows.

The original enclosure of the building and its fenestration is shown through a translucent tensile PVC sheet which becomes a new skin for the building while the design for the opposite side was solved with a continuous glass plane covered by a micro perforated membrane printed with a pixelated photo of the main hall.

The clients requested a house with a dance studio that would also serve as a living room and dining room.

In general the materials used are related to the site conditions:
White sand within the concrete; roofs covered with turf and pebbles from a nearby river.

The experience of the interior is marked with constantly shifting vanishing points, where alignments fold in each crease of the plan, large openings cutting dormer scoops on the roof, centrifugally release the views out to the surrounding landscape.

The scheme consists of a main floor intended for public use, a sitting and dining room.

The memorial design begins with an abstract object, solid, pure and whole, one that is composed of a number of uniform rectangular tubes. Elements are then purposefully erased to affect dissolution of the whole and signify that for humanity, our loss is permanent.

The architect implemented the white cross as a new volume in the existing space and created openings into this white space. He lights up the periphery: the border between old an new. In that respect, the layer outside of the white cross becomes the outer space, generating pictures of ‘the old times’ like looking outside a window into another landscape.

‘Pole Dance’ is an interconnected system of poles and nets whose equilibrium is constantly affected by human action and environmental factors, such as rain and wind. On discovery of its elasticity visitors engage with the structure, to envision games, test its limits or just watch it gently dance.

The triangulated shape offers an interesting interior space for each room while establishing an intimate relation with the existing small houses in the surroundings.

This year at ‘Origin: The London Craft Fair’ visitors can expect to see an exciting array of new and original, ‘Made not Manufactured’, contemporary craft.

A bathroom where mutually alternating fragmentary mirror surfaces and lighting fixtures form a jigsaw puzzle of an image and a reflection.
