Dodecaedrum Varazze is a studio of steel and wood in the shape of stellated dodecahedron, one of four Kepler-Poinsot polyhedra whose base construction is the principle of the golden ratio.

‘The stellated dodecahedron has 12 stellated pentagonal faces, 12 vertices and 30 edges; the geometric shape of the pentagon contains different lengths related by the golden ratio, the relationship between two unequal segments, which is considered the basis of objective beauty standard.

At least since the 20th century, many artists and architects have proportioned their works to approximate the golden ratio – especially in the form of the golden rectangle, in which the ratio of the longer side to the shorter is the golden ratio – believing this proportion to be aesthetically pleasing.’
