nendo have conceived a collection of ‘mimicry chairs’ composed of pressed and punched metal and lacquered white. The chairs when put together, dynamically communicate the relationship an object shares with its environment. The multiplication of this single white chair is positioned throughout the V&A victoria & albert museum in galleries, staircases and corridors, placed in a stacked formation or hanging from the ceiling. The audience is able to experience the designs throughout the museum in ten different ways of display and ten varying locations ‘mimicking the location in which it is placed, giving it a ghost-like aesthetic.
