The Swiss manufacturer/conceptualizer/producer mïxcv presents its first collection at Cité de la Mode et du Design for Paris Design Week then in Geneva for Design Days. The project led by Volciane Casasnovas, Stéphane Dentand and Thomas Labarthe proposes a series of metallic objects with a simple and direct design benefitting from their combined and complementary savoir-faire.
Lines express the play with space, in space, around everyone, the will to link the good points, like markers in space. With unadorned design and no unnecessary frills, mixcv’s simple and precise production is the fruit of the shared desire of a designer and a metal construction company to create contemporary production.
To generate matter in a precise space so that it maintains the intended role there, to develop an emotional and functional structure, the existence of which aims to touch, question and involve space and those who move within it.
‘Because design has a function, because each object supports an emotion, because its shape produces space, because its material and colour questions me, I examine what surrounds me and the space in which I gravitate.’
