The Jellyfish House by IwamotoScott Architecture with proces2 is now part of the SFMOMA Architecture & Design Permanent Collection and will be on display at SFMOMA through Nov 6, 2011 as part of the exhibition “The More Things Change”.
IwamotoScott designed Jellyfish House in 2005-06 for the exhibition, “Open House: Architecture & Technology for Intelligent Living” curated by the Vitra Design Museum and Art Center College of Design.

The relationship of the bridge to the interior stairway and exterior courtyard conveys the performative nature of the spiral as a vortex and the interface and tension between two systems of geometry, one projective + linear and the other, radial + dynamic.
