the shape of things: architecture, design, interior, art, style

13.06 2011

The beauty of stylized deconstructed minimalism and voluptuous futuristic fetishism.

Belén Vidal’s first collection was presented at the 53rd edition of Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week for Autumn / Winter 2011/12. A daring collection with aggressive and asymmetric lines, dominated by transparencies and nude colours. Torn and almost dysfunctional pieces portray the collection’s deconstructive philosophy. Minimalistic aesthetics with a futuristic twist are fragmented and meticulously distorted, revealing beautifully ultra-sensual silhouettes far from all fashion industry clichés regarding femininity.
