The interrelation of the automotive industry and modern architecture goes a long way back, to the heroic era of Le Corbusier’s purism and ‘Vers une architecture.’ Since then, architects have often idolised the spectacular imagery of sport cars. The automotive industry has also expressed affection for modern architecture. What better backdrop for a spectacular car than an ultra sleek, iconic modern building.

The latest such example is the presentation of the new Porsche Cayman S Black Edition. A fast and powerful special edition limited to 500 units with even better performance, lavish equipment and a consistent total black colour scheme.

The imagery accompanying the presentation of the Cayman S Black Edition depicts the blackness of the special edition’s concept. Night views of the car highlight the spectacular reflections of its curvy form. Four different architectural backdrops were selected to form an adequate context for the car, ranging from austere, mainstream, corporate architecture to intriguing cutting edge aesthetics.
