The lamp’s light source is intentionally displaced and hidden from sight, transforming the lamp shade to an empty cage

Cage Lamp

The Cage Lamp by Dima Loginoff has a sleek and elegant design that attracts attention. The frame of the traditional lamp is stripped bare of the shade and revealed to the viewer and the light source is hidden at the base of the lamp’s shade. Thus the shade, where the light source is supposed to be, becomes surprisingly void, an empty cage, subverting the archetypal table lamp form.
