the shape of things: architecture, design, interior, art, style

A circular pattern of light forms a floating dome above the Christofle iconoc pieces, creating an unreal play of reflections.

Christofle

A futuristic dome of light, made of neon tubes, floats above the Christofle stands creating an apocaliptic daylight sensation within the store. Its lighting patterns, reflected on the silverware underneath, expose the items’ briliant polishing. The lacquered stands become themselves reflectors of this extraordinary one-off pendant light. Despite the fact that it was dismantled long ago, this installation is an inspirational example of the manner in which a small-scale intervention can affect the essence of the surrounding space, creating a atmospheric experience.
