CHORDS

Renowned Italian maker PALLUCCO launched the CHORDS pendant light designed by Teruhiro Yanagihara. A simple, poetic gesture by designer Teruhiro Yanagihara. Two metallic discs, folded in a seemingly random manner, form an abstract geometry that is constantly changing while seen from different angles. CHORDS light displays the way a minimalistic conception can result in an intriguing visual effect.

“CHORDS emerged from considerations into the ways of transforming basic 2D geometric elements, such as circles, into complex objects through one single bend. Two steel discs bent at a chord line form a lampshade that displays subtle gradations of shade on its multifaceted surfaces and has a completely different appearance with every angle of vision.”
