The philosophy of “Reaction poétique” originates from the terrains of non-rational. It derives from symbolism and the interpretation of perception, incorporating a metaphysical representation of experience. The symbolic world is the ground of the irrational and mystical, where instinct dominates over ratio. Symbolism is a call for the sublime in creating, design jewellery in this case. The “Reaction poétique” collection draws its stimulus from the world of nature and explores the symbolic nature of materials and forms in an attempt to capture the sublime, transcending the mundane substances like a philosopher’s stone. Like a modern alchemist, Chiara Scarpitti experiments with craftsmanship techniques and state-of-the-art technologies in distilling the mystical essence of materials that will transcend the wearer of the jewellery to a state of enlightenment.
