Setting the vistas by the 2011 Pritzker Prize laureate.

Cinema House

The Cinema House by Eduardo Souto de Moura is characterised by its paradox geometry. Based on a cubic form, its volume undergoes a set of transformations in order to adjust to the site’s context. The roof is slightly inclined, the exterior outline is squeezed to a trapezoid and two rectangular volumes are extruded like binoculars in order to frame the vistas from the interior.

Eduardo Souto de Moura is the 2011 Pritzker Architecture Prize laureate. Follow this link for more information regarding the Souto de Moura Pritzker Prize nomination.
