Gucci Timepieces and Jewelry has announced its partnership with The Recording Academy®, hosts of the world-renowned GRAMMY® Awards, and launched a GRAMMYs special edition watch and jewelry collection, designed by Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini.

The edgy look of the collection is inspired by the passion for music. The I-GUCCI wristwatch, the first ever digital timepiece by Gucci, offers the possibility to instantly change the display from a two-time zone dial in large digits to a streamlined version that features two discreet digital hands revealing local time.

The collection was launched to support the GRAMMY Museum® for Music Restoration and Preservation Programs. Their most recent collaboration project involves the effort in assessing a Muzak archive of more than 20,000 never-released master recordings of American music dating back to 1934, from jazz to early spiritual, which was recently discovered in a warehouse in South Carolina. The effort is focused on determining a strategy for the housing, digitization and finally releasing the collection to the public.
