The Polyglossia group show, curated by Marilena V. Karra, is presented at the Onassis Cultural Centre in Athens, Greece. The exhibition, lasting from March 15 until June 30, 2011, presents projects by 30 Greek artists who have lived and worked outside Greece, including works by established artists such as Takis and Jannis Kounellis. The presence of an artwork by Lynda Benglis should also be noted, since her retrospective exhibition at the New Museum, New York currently attracts global attention. The exhibition’s objective is to explore and highlight the impact of diverse historical and cultural contexts in the work of artists who share common characteristics, such as common origin.
