‘Crossbearer’ is a collaboration between clothing and photography, trying to tell a common story about what we in our time consider spirituality and higher purpose, and how we think less about the collective, and instead focus on our own personal agendas.

Project Statement:
‘Self-realization is the martyrdom of our time. Through our lack of ideals we worship constructed identities as contemporary icons. Tormented by an unattainable self-image, we constantly seek the spotlight, to be watched, admired, and mirrored. Self fulfilment is our aim, and we oscillate between two selves: The Super Hero, and the terrified squab. Divinity or worthlessness. We are all masters and geniuses in contempt of dependency and closeness. Our cross we still must bear.’
