Compromising is expected in a designer’s affordable line in order to reach a wider audience.

This is not the case with RICKOWENSLILIES.

The Spring / Summer 2011 LILIES collection is made for those who identify with designer’s philosophy. The line’s extremely functional, everyday, urban clothes are designed to differ. A differentiation bound to conceptualism and not driven by eccentricity.

Austerity defines the LILIES. Despite the complexity of the volumes, the level of design abstraction is unrivalled. All elements of the garments exist to serve a purpose, the slight and somehow uncanny distortion of the silhouette. Pleats and draping combined with asymmetrical cuts result in iconic volumes that tamper with the body geometry and result in an unexpected casual sensuality.
