Amaya Arzuaga’s winter 2010-11 collection proposes intriguing and complex forms that redefine the body shape. Inspired by threaded structures and mineral geometries, Amaya transcends clothes to wearable sculptures in a process of exploration of the subliminal. The materials used need to challenge their physical limits and the lows of nature in order to produce the impressive volumes that define the collection. By designing these garments, Amaya Arzuaga attempts to redefine the essence of materials and shapes in fashion design and comes up with an iconic collection characterised by its architectural quality and its unique perception.
