Antonio Alvarado’s winter 2010/11 collection is identified by sets of volumes that attempt to modify the silhouette and create a new optical sensation. Pattern design is fundamental to this strategy, as it is facilitated to exaggerate the garments’ geometries. Contrasting, multilayered fabrics with different weights reinforce the reshaping of the silhouette, transforming the clothes to a protective shell of the fragile and smooth feminine body.
